3rd Alarm - 1700 State St

June 30

This evening, Engine, Truck, Rescue and Duty Officer were operating at "Smoke in a High-Rise" in the 49-2 Box, Harrisburg City units were sent to the 1700 block of State St for "Smoke from a Church". Initial arriving units encountered a basement fire, running the void spaces between hardwood floors.

June 28

Early this AM, Engine 91 was handling back to back medical incidents in the 49-6 & 49-1 Box Areas. While handling these incidents Box 45-2 was sent to the 6300 Block of Evelyn St in the Rutherford section of the Twp for a Reported Structure Fire.

Passing of Life Member Charlie Proudfoot

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Life Member Charlie Proudfoot.

Charlie was a former trustee of the Swatara Company, and was the current President of the Goodwill Fire Co. of Enhaut, one of our founding companies.

Charlie, you will be missed on company meeting nights, as we all knew the meeting wasn't over until you made the motion to adjourn.

May 23

Early this morning around 4:45am, units were dispatched to the 300-Blk of N. Harrisburg St in the 49-1 Box for a reported Structure Fire. Chief 91-6 arrived with smoke showing and a fire in the second floor bedroom of a middle of the row townhouse. E91 arrived as the 1st Due Engine, and stretched the bumper line. Brush Fire in the 49-5 Box

May 12

This evening Engine 91 & Attack 91-5 were dispatched to a possible brush fire in area of 19th St & Gibson Blvd. First arriving units found approximately 2 acres on fire with multiple hot spots flaring up. Multiple resources were requested to assist with extinguishing and overhauling the area including crews from Hershey, Linglestown, Lower Swatara, Rescue Fire Co,Dauphin-Middle Paxton and Londonderry. ... May 06

This afternoon, Swatara Fire-Rescue were sent to Stephen Drive in the 45 Box for a reported Kitchen Fire. Engine 91-5 arrived with smoke showing. Engine 91 arrived as the 3rd due Engine Company and secured secondary water. Control was marked within 10 minutes and Command held Engine 91-5 and Truck 33 (Colonial Park) within 30 minutes.... 1st Due in Chambers Hill

April 25

Late this evening, Swatara Fire-Rescue units and mutual aid from Companies 59 & 46 were sent to the 5900 Block of Canyon Road in the Chambers Hill section of the township for a reported House on Fire. Chief 91-6 (Bradnick) was advised of a reported basement fire extending to the first floor. No Caption Car Fire - Eisenhower Blvd

April 22

This evening, Engine 91 was sent to Eisenhower Blvd & Chambers Hill Rd for a Vehicle Fire. Chief 91-4 (Allen) arrived with a working fire. Engine 91 arrived and deployed the bumper line and extinguished the fire. Truck and Rescue 91 also responded.
