The 4th of July weekend meant a busy few days for Swatara Fire-Rescue. Station 1 members ran a total of 15 calls in the short period of time.

During the height of celebrations, Rescue 91 was sent to Harrisburg City to the 1200 Block of Bailey St for a House Fire. Rescue 91 arrived and assisted with overhaul. While operating, Engine 91 worked multiple brush fires in the City along with a vehicle smoking and a dumpster fire, caused by fireworks.

Overnight, Rescue 91 again was sent to the 91 Box for an MVA w/ Entrapment. Rescue & Chief 91 arrived along with Life Team EMS to confirm 1 person, partially ejected but trapped, signal 12. Rescue 91 & 91-5 assisted PSP with the scene and extrication.

Later in the day Engine & Truck 91 arrived 1st due on an upgraded assignment to Rutherford. Crews traced the source back to an overloaded AC unit.
